Straightening fine wire at the bench means hammering — which risks marking the surface — or filing and grinding, which removes material you’re not getting back. The Wire Straightener V3 MINI eliminates that step in most cases, delivering wire that goes directly into the next operation.
How it works
Same principle as the Wire Straightener V3, scaled for fine wire. Two rows of U-groove bearings arranged in perpendicular planes, each row adjustable via Allen key per axis. Wire passes through repeatedly until straight — the number of passes depends on wire diameter, material, and calibration.
Each bearing block also features a pair of entry guide bearings, oriented perpendicular to the main bearing plane. Fine wire tends to wander between block halves; these guide bearings constrain it into the working zone before it reaches the straightening rows.
Bench scale, not industrial scale
Industrial wire straighteners are large, expensive, and built for continuous feed production. This tool brings the same mechanical principle to the workbench — handheld, compact, and sized for the small shop where floor space matters.
Built from 3D-printed PETG with metal hardware and bearings where it counts. Under normal use the construction is solid; flex becomes a factor only with wire well outside the specified range, and affects tool longevity rather than immediate output quality.
